At North Texas Balloons, I believe the best way to serve my clients is to keep learning, growing, and connecting with other professionals in the industry. This July, I took a huge step forward by attending the 2025 Balloon Boss Thrive Retreat in Waco, Texas — and it was exactly the kind of recharge I needed for both myself and my business.
Hosted by Sheena from Dream Big Balloons and led by the inspiring Joette Giardina of BalloonCoach.com, the retreat featured hands-on training from Tabitha of Animated Art Balloons and brought together balloon artists from all over the country — especially here in Texas.
Over several days, we didn’t just step away from our businesses — we stepped into a space where we could focus on our business. I had the chance to zoom out and really look at North Texas Balloons from a strategic perspective. From refining pricing and marketing strategies to setting clearer goals for growth, it was an opportunity to level up in every way.
One of the most rewarding parts of the retreat was connecting with other balloon professionals. Some were brand new to the industry, others had been in it for years — but everyone came ready to learn, share, and support one another. I even got to reconnect with familiar faces from Tabitha’s Wicked Balloon Class in Arlington, hosted by All American Balloons — which made the experience even more special.
Being part of the Balloon Boss Mastermind community has been a game changer for me. The accountability, coaching, and consistent support have helped me make big moves in my business — and this retreat was a reminder of how powerful that network really is.
Here are a few highlights of a Custom Garland from my time in Waco:
If you’re a balloon artist or event professional wondering if investing in your growth is worth it — it absolutely is. The skills, mindset shifts, and relationships I gained at this business retreat will continue to shape how I serve my clients and grow North Texas Balloons for years to come.
